Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points in the body to balance the flow of energy. Acupuncture is proven to alleviate pain and to treat various physical, mental, and emotional conditions. Dry needling is a treatment modality that is minimally invasive, effective, and carries a low risk. Its effectiveness has been confirmed in numerous studies and 2 comprehensive systematic reviews. The deep method of dry needling has been shown to be more effective than the superficial one for the treatment of pain associated with myofascial trigger points. Dry needling has become a standard procedure in treating musculoskeletal disorders. It penetrates the skin, subcutaneous tissues, and muscles using a thin needle. This puncture technique causes local muscle twitch, which relaxes the treated area. Hence, the dry needling treatment can reduce local tension and pain immediately.

We believe dry needling certification is important because needling into deep muscles involves a higher risk of puncturing the lungs and arteries, and nerve damage. Your dry-needling therapists have gone through another year of training, passed many additional exams, learned anatomy and physiology to the point we know all muscle names and landmarks, got tested and passed on dry needling each muscle, and received approval to treat them safely. During your treatment, your therapist won't be seeing another patient, completely 1 on 1, and dedicate their attention to you 100%. Your safety is our priority.

Cupping & Evaluation

I grew up in Southern Vietnam, where Vietnamese and Chinese herbal medicine and dietetics were essential to her upbringing. But it wasn’t until my older daughter was diagnosed with autism that I became interested in learning Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. >This excellent medicine has done a miracle for my daughter’s indigestion and insomnia.

I hope I can offer you the same effective care. I will listen carefully to your condition and create a practical treatment plan for your lifestyle. I’ll ensure you feel safe and well during treatment. >I will listen carefully to your condition and create a practical treatment plan for your lifestyle

I’d like to share a little bit about myself if you’re interested. Growing up, I competed in soccer, hacky sack, and martial arts, so I understand how important it is to keep our bodies strong and our muscles supple. I’ve been an avid rock climber indoors and outdoors for 18 years, teaching yoga for 14 years, and treating injuries and chronic pain for over 30 years using Shaolin martial arts channels and fascial techniques I learned from my master, Thay An (Teacher An).

I’m forever grateful for Thay An & Thay Kim, Steven Woodley, Sean Si, Julie Zhu, Nick Hancock, Robyn Sodders, Aaron Lee, Jamie Hampton, Josh Lerner, and many more, who have taught me almost everything I know. My father, who passed away, advised me from a young age that >when I become a doctor, I should treat patients from the heart and never nurture illness.

You wouldn’t believe how many times my dad went to see a doctor and came home with medication that had their package removed, so he had to come back week after week for a refill instead of buying it directly from the pharmacy. My mission is to get you well and send you back out to the world of joy, family, and friends. Please don’t go and party too hard, though.

As much as I love seeing you seven days a week (I really do!), I take much-needed time off Saturday and Sunday to be with my young daughters (9yo Sydney and 4yo Emily). They grow up too fast! I love food and coffee very much.

I specialize in pelvic health, neuropathy, pain and aches during pregnancy, and chronic fatigue.
